Responsibilities
The duties of the Board include, but are not limited to:
- Fundraising for annual SCIAA grants
- Meeting and Event Planning
- Advisory to the Director of SCIAA

Composition
The Board of Trustees manages the affairs of the Archaeological Research Trust, and consists of between 12 and 24 members serving three year terms.
In addition, the Director of SCIAA serves as a permanent ex officio Board member, as do both the SC State Archaeologist and SCIAA Research Division Head. These names appear below in bold red.
